How To Use These Pages

Each Property is Identified in the public record by a unique number, the parcel number. The first two numbers in a parcel number represent the taxing district.

These pages are provided to allow you to calculate a quick estimate of real estate taxes for any property in Stark County if you know the taxing district and market value of the property. Year 2004 multipliers are now available. This is especially helfpul if you are purchasing a new home for which full taxes have not been levied and you need a "ballpark" estimate.

How to use the multipliers

Example: Let's say you wish to purchase a new home in Perry Twp. and real estate taxes have not yet been established. Perry Twp/Perry LSD is taxing district 43. Browse through to district 43 and multiply the market value of the property by the effective tax rate calculated by the Stark County Auditor's office. The result is a reasonable estimate of real estate taxes for the 2000 tax year. These figures change annually.
